The year was 2016. Madison and Conrad were both recently out of long term relationships. It was the epoch of dating apps. Both folks found themselves on Bumble (new and groundbreaking for 2016) looking for a casual fling for the summer.

Seven years later and it’s 2023. On the precipice of a major move to Seattle to drastically change the trajectory of life by running a store together, Conrad got down on one knee in the middle of the street Madison and he had lived on for the past 5 years.

They have been together through the 2016 and 2024 presidential elections. Through Madison’s undergrad and graduate degrees. They got through 2020 (mostly) together. They have supported each other through career transitions, family emergencies, and the loss of Madison's mother. They have traveled together to wonderful destinations and have created a cozy home. They’ve got the sweetest dog and the sassiest cat.

Madison and Conrad are so stoked they get to continue the story of their love that started with a very noncommittal swipe right.
